He has choreographed numerous works for Ryerson Theatre School in addition to select works for Toronto Fashion Week, Cadence Ballet Bridges, Arts Unionville, The Luminato Festival and most recently The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. A note from Ranchod:
Choreographically, I strive to create innovative narrative works that showcase technical brilliance, a beautiful line and balanced imagery. My choreographic footprint is undoubtedly balletic in nature however I continually strive to use the conventions of ballet in an inventive and avant-garde manner. My east-Asian cultural background certainly influences my choreographic identity and provides me with a secondary grouping of movement vocabulary. I appreciate a dancer’s organic movement and take pleasure in collaborating to create well-structured works that feed the audience, the dancers and the choreographer simultaneously.
